• Welcome to Poplar Farm School

    Poplar Farm Primary school was named after the site it is built on - The Poplar Farm Estate. Part of C.I.T Academies, it opened its doors to the first cohort of Reception children in September 2018.

    Poplar Farm forms part of the Buckminster Estate. Planning permission was granted by South Kesteven District Council to build a total of 1,800 houses on the land off Barrowby Road, over the next decade. As many are family homes, this means hundreds of families and their children will move into the town.

    We hope you find all the information you need on our website but if you do require more details please email Lucinda Thorpe at the office on enquiries@poplarfarmsch-cit.co.uk

    Thank you for your interest in Poplar Farm School.

    CEO - Community Inclusive Trust

    Welcome to the Poplar Farm School website.
    I am delighted that you have taken the time to explore further what Poplar Farm School can offer. The school will open to Reception age pupils in September 2018 and from that point provide the highest standards of education, care and educational enjoyment. Poplar Farm’s curriculum will be developed to ensure that pupils and adults have a love for learning and give them the skills to fulfil their potential and ultimately follow in the footsteps of local greats such as Isaac Newton.
    Poplar Farm will be part of Community Inclusive Trust (C.I.T.). The Trust will ensure that it recruits and provides the best staff and resources to meet the Trust’s purpose;
    “To put learners first every time and prepare them for their future.”
    Our dedication to this purpose has led to more than half the schools within C.I.T. being graded Outstanding by Ofsted in recent years.
    I hope you can find all the information you need on our website. I look forward to welcoming your children into Poplar Farm School, when it opens its doors in September 2018.
