Ethos and Values

As a CIT School we adopt and follow all the Trust Values of:
• Honesty and Integrity
• Aspiration
• Professionalism
• Inclusivity

Alongside these we have our own school values that work within the community we serve.

At Poplar Farm School we promote our curriculum, ethos and values through The Poplar Promise, which is taught to the children, and referred to in lessons, learning questions and assemblies.

We value the way in which all children are unique and our curriculum promotes respect for the views of each individual child, as well as for people of all cultures. We value the rights of every child in our society. We respect each child in our school for who they are and we treat them with fairness and honesty. We endeavour to enable each child to be successful and we provide equal opportunities for all in our school. We value our environment and we aim, through our curriculum, to instil a sense of understanding and responsibility for our world and how that will impact on future generations as well as our own.

Article 3 - The best interests of the child must be a top priority in all decisions and actions that affect children.

Article 29 - Education must develop every child's personality, talents and abilities to the full.

Friendship Monitors
Our friendship monitors ensure that all children feel loved and nurtured at playtimes, and have friends to play with.
